The frequency range of DSG5000 series microwave signal generator is 9 kHz to 12 GHz / 20 GHz, and it supports 2-8 independent channel outputs. Its stable phase coherence, excellent low phase noise and good spurious and harmonic suppression ability, Meet the needs of complex tests such as superconducting quantum computing, radar signal generation, MIMO, EMS, etc.

High-Density Architecture & Scale

  • Up to 8 Independent Channels: Integrates 2, 4, 6, or 8 fully independent RF channels into a compact 2U full-rack chassis. It offers 8 times the channel density of older single-channel lines, drastically lowering space requirements in test racks.

  • Cascading Capabilities: Multiple DSG5000 units can be seamlessly linked and cascaded together to build much larger, phase-locked multi-channel arrays required for massive qubit manipulation or large-scale radar systems.

High-Frequency Microwave Performance

  • Frequency Options: Covers a broad microwave frequency spectrum across two distinct tier configurations:

    • DSG512x Models: 9 kHz to 12 GHz

    • DSG520x Models: 9 kHz to 20 GHz

  • Ultra-Low Phase Noise: Delivers exceptional spectral purity with a typical phase noise rating below -133 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz (with a 10 kHz offset).

  • High Output Power: Provides adjustable signal power from -30 dBm up to a highly robust +25 dBm maximum output, perfectly suiting non-linear device evaluation like high-gain amplifier testing.

Coherence & Phase Stability

  • Rigid Inter-Channel Phase Stability: Demonstrates premium phase alignment, maintaining less than 1° of phase deviation at 10 GHz over extended testing periods (e.g., 72 hours under standard stable lab environments).

  • Finer Alignment Control: Features precise frequency adjustments down to 0.01 Hz steps and an adjustable inter-channel phase offset resolution sharp down to 0.01° increments for fine-tuning signal delays.

  • Isolation Quality: Incorporates strict internal shielding to provide greater than 75 dB of isolation between the adjacent independent microwave paths.

Modulation & Workflow Automation

  • Modulation Suites (Optional): Supports common analog modulation configurations including Amplitude Modulation (AM), Frequency Modulation (FM), and Phase Modulation (ΦM).

  • Pulse Generation & Train Lists: Features high-precision pulse modulation capabilities alongside a built-in pulse train generator, allowing users to customize and upload specific sequential pulse lists.

  • Fast Switching: Achieves quick frequency and amplitude tracking response times, clocking a fast switching speed of just 3 ms.

  • Flexible Sweep Modes: Supports Step, Continuous, and customizable List sweeps across Frequency, Level, or combined Freq & Level parameters.

Form Factor & Hardware Layout

  • Buttonless Touch Interface: Equipped with a 3.5-inch color touch screen on the front panel. Reflecting its high-density architecture, it features zero mechanical control buttons or adjustment knobs outside of the main power switch.

  • HDMI Expansion Output: Includes a rear-panel HDMI port allowing engineers to mirror the instrument interface onto external displays, monitors, or projectors for easier layout management.

  • Remote Ecosystem: Built with standard USB 3.0 Host/Device and LAN interfaces. It supports native Web Control (operation via a web browser using the device IP) and can be fully programmed using standard SCPI macro arrays via environments like LabVIEW or MATLAB.
